A New band have just been added to the line-up of FREE entertainment in Gravesend on Saturday 15 June at the Music & Motors Festival of Transport.

Defunk’d are a high-energy funk-rock band from the University of Kent, where all of the band members are studying Music Technology. With a wide range of covers, each of which has been given a unique twist, and a growing number of originals, Defunk’d have found themselves extremely busy over the past few months.

Coming off the back of winning Keynestock 2013, a prestigious battle of the bands competition in Canterbury, they will have the opportunity to support Chase and Status at this year’s University of Kent Summer Ball.

With each of the members drawing on various inspirations and musical backgrounds, Defunk’d are constantly evolving musically, striving to create new, energetic music that gets people dancing, fast.

The event features cars and bikes from years gone by: the Mr Phoebus Penny Farthing Experience, Cyclopark Wheels for All sessions and other Kent based musicians Jason Allen & Miranda Richards. There really is something for everyone in Gravesend that day.

Music & Motors is a free family event brought to you by Town Centre Management at Gravesham Borough Council, sponsored by Hatten Wyatt Solicitors & Advocates and supporting the Kent Air Ambulance Appeal.

It takes place throughout the town centre and Community Square on Saturday 15 June between 10am and 5pm – for details check out http://www.gogravesham.co.uk twitter @GraveshamBC and @EnjoyGravesend
