…has been busy in the first two months of 2010 responding to flooding in Northern Albania whilst continuing to receive and sort humanitarian and development aid for Eastern Europe. They work in partnership with many local and global organisations and use appropriate donated goods matched against beneficiary “wish lists” to help people in need . One partner ww.globalhand,org has been very busy facilitating offers of aid for Haiti , including a small mobile Air Traffic Control system ! Blythswood Care are supporting http://www.marysmeals.org in Haiti and also have delivered 3 computers donated by RE Computer Recycling (also based on Medway City Estate) for the use of the only Haiti led charity in the UK http://www.uhuk.org Blythswood always has a need for good quality second hand donated clothes, shoes , bedding, educational toys, school supplies and household goods (including small electrical goods (not white goods) in full working order.

They have been given over 250 pairs of spectacles this year already but are short of about 80 spectacle cases! If anyone can help, these can be taken to the addresses given below.
Also there is an outstanding request for a good piano accordion and for personal CD players or audio tape players for blind and partially sighted people. There are Blythswood Care charity shops at 27 Darnley Road Strood ME2 2EU and
