A teaching taster session could set learners on route to a new career thanks to Medway Adult and Community Learning Service. The teaching taster session takes place at the Rochester Community Hub, Eastgate from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, 23 June. Medway Adult Learning Service is now planning provision for the next academic year from September, and is always keen to recruit new adult education teachers.

The two-hour workshop is aimed at those who are interested in becoming adult education teachers. Those attending will learn more about the job, routes into teaching and what makes a good teacher.
The session will also help participants identify personal training, subject knowledge, study skills and training options.

The workshop is free and open to all. Sue Hopkins, MACLS Manager, said: “Adult learning is an integral part of community development and interest in adult learning and the many ways in which it can take place is always high.

“If you have the skills to teach I would encourage you to attend this free seminar. It could be two hours that changes your life.” Places are limited and allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. Don’t delay, book today; phone 01634 338476.
