The Brompton Carnival is back for the third year and Brompton Children’s Centre will be getting into the festival spirit this Saturday, 2 July with some other wordly costumes.

From a giant UFO costume measuring nearly 3metres wide to all sorts of weird and wonderful space costumes, there will be plenty of people dressing up for this year’s theme, ‘Out of this World’.

Children from the centre and primary school been busy making space costumes for the big event, joining 100 other festival goers parading through the village. Anyone in costume will receive a rosette as well as being entered into the Carnival competition.

The fancy dress parade will start at 3pm from the Brompton Westbrook Primary School go down Kings Bastion, then down Sally Port Gardens before walking down Garden Street to end at the play park at approximately 3.30pm where the event will begin in the park.

There will be plenty on offer including a barbecue, charity stalls, games and dance displays.

Organised by the Brompton Village Association, the carnival aims to be even bigger and even better than last year’s event.
