Medway residents who own BEKO Fridge Freezers are being urged to check the model numbers after a safety alert from the manufacturer.

It follows problems with some models overheating. The ones affected were manufactured between January 2000 and October 2006.

Andy McGrath, Medway Council’s Assistant Director of Frontline Services, said : “It is very important that anyone with this make of fridge freezers check their model numbers against the list provided below as soon as possible.”

The Model numbers of the appliances affected are are:
