The Brook Theatre will host a series of creative workshops throughout July and August.

Heatwave 2011 workshops, organised by Medway Council’s Art’s Development Team, are designed to keep young people amused throughout the summer holidays.

Learn 1950’s style rock and roll dancing to famous songs from the much-loved hit film Grease. Young people can recreate the popular tale of T-Birds and Pink Ladies for a showcase for family and friends at the end of the week’s workshop.

Design and paint beautiful henna tattoos and learn about the history of henna and its Indian origins at this one-day workshop on Thursday, 28 July from 10am to 3pm. Fee is £14.

Create a wonderful watery world at The Little Mermaid drama workshop.
Young people will also get to make puppets, masks, costumes and props ready for the showcase for family and friends at the end of the week.
