Tickets for two of next summer’s Castle Concerts will go on sale at 10am today (Monday, 12 December) giving concert-goers an early opportunity to snap up tickets in time for Christmas.

Jools Holland is back at Rochester Castle Gardens on Wednesday, 18 July and demand for this concert favourite is expected to be high once again.

Tickets are also on sale for The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, which returns with the Castle Proms on Saturday, 21 July.

This annual summer concert has become a must-see, bringing audiences from far a field to enjoy classical favourites along with picnics, champagne and fireworks against the backdrop of one of England’s most beautiful castles.

Tickets are priced at £35 for Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and £30 for Castle Proms.

Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community Services, Cllr Howard Doe said: “Once again we are looking forward to a fabulous line up of acts at the concerts next year. This is a great opportunity to beat the rush, and perhaps give someone tickets as a really special and unusual Christmas gift.”

Concert tickets are available in person at The Central Theatre Box Office, The Brook Theatre Box Office and Medway Visitor Information Centre, by phone on 01634 338338 or online at http://www.castleconcerts.co.uk

Castle Concerts are organised by Medway Council. The full line-up of acts will be announced in the New Year.
