There’s less than two weeks of shopping time left until Christmas, and whether you’re still on the look out for gifts or stocking up on Christmas supplies, why not pop along to one of Medway’s markets.

The last monthly famer’s market is being held this Sunday, 18 December from 9am to 1pm in Rochester and is the perfect place to stock up on some tasty festive treats. From jams, pickles, fresh meat and baked goods, there’s plenty of good quality, local goods to tantalise any taste buds, along with arts, crafts and unique gifts. The farmer’s market is held in Corporation Street, Rochester.

Last minute bargain hunters can also head to one of Medway’s two street markets at Gillingham and Strood, both held twice a week. Both markets offer shoppers a variety of stalls with all sorts on offer, including clothes, shoes and food and will be open to shoppers making a last minute dash on Christmas Eve. Gillingham Market is held in Gillingham High Street every Monday and Saturday from 9am-4.30pm (Except Mon, 26 December 2011 and Mon, 2 January 2012). The market will close at 4pm on Christmas Eve.

Strood Market is held in Commercial Road car park every Tuesday and Saturday from 9am-3pm (Except Tue, 27 December 2011).
