Young people can learn the art of circus skills at a circus school, which starts later this month.

The Brook Circus School with Dizzy O’Dare Presents is aimed at eight to 16 year olds and runs for 10 weeks from Friday, 28 September to Friday, 7 December from 6.30pm to 8pm (no class during half term) at the Brook Theatre, Chatham.
Young people can learn skills from professional performers using equipment such as juggling balls, hula hoops, tightwire, unicycles and diabolo.

Learning circus skills develops confidence and trust, as well as decision-making and team building and can provide young people with a life-changing experience. There will also be opportunities to perform to family and friends.

Dizzy O’Dare Presents are well-known locally for their Cabaret of Curiosities and Kids’ Cabaret at The Brook and for various performances at Fuse Festival including The Tiny Travelling Tightwire Show.

The Brook Circus School is a continuation of the year-long circus activity project involving people throughout Medway which ended with the spectacular performance of Barricade at Fuse this year.

The circus school runs for 10 weeks and costs £38.50. To book a place on the circus school phone 01634 338338. Alternatively, for more information phone 01634 338319.
