There’s plenty of festive fun to be had in Medway in the coming weeks. Children’s Centres will be hosting a number of events for families in the build up to Christmas.
A Christmas charity walk will be held by Brompton Children’s Centre in Gillingham on Monday, 17 December from 1pm to 3.30pm. The walk will be followed by coffee and mince pies and all money raised will go to Help for Heroes and FSID. For more information call 01634 844152.

Also on Monday, Gun Lane Children’s Centre in Strood will be laying on a lunch with Father Christmas. Those wanting to attend must book. To reserve a space or for more information call 01634 717115.

Two festive parties will be held on Wednesday, 19 December. Miers Court Children’s Centre in Rainham will be throwing their Christmas bash from 10am to 12noon at Parkwood Community Centre. Booking is essential and each family can attend for just £1. Call 01634 236974 to book.

While the centre at Temple Mill will be throwing their party at Wainscott Memorial Hall between 10am and 11.30am. Santa is set to make an appearance and each child will receive a gift. Face painting, party games and refreshments will be on offer. Booking is necessary and entry is £5 per child. Call the centre on 01634 338200.

On Thursday, 20 December Gun Lane Children’s Centre will be providing a dinner with Father Christmas between 1.30pm and 3pm. Those wanting to attend must book in advance.
Lordswood Children’s Centre will be hosting a seasonal party exclusively for children under the age of one on Christmas Eve, Monday, 24 December. The event will run from 12 noon to 2pm and it is booking in advance is necessary. Call 01634 333670 or 01634 333680.
