Help is at hand for people who find themselves out of work through redundancy, or who are under threat of redundancy.

Medway Community Learning (MCL) Skills Support for Redundancy programme offers training for anyone over the age of 19 who has been made redundant within the last six months, or who is under threat of redundancy.

The programme starts this month (February) with an initial assessment workshop to find out learners’ needs and skills gaps. From this MCL will be able offer targeted training in a range of courses, including interview techniques, job ready confidence, job searching and many more.

The programme aims to support people who need moral support through a difficult time, and a boost in self-confidence.

The workshops and courses will be held at a variety of venues within Medway.

Spaces are available on the next workshops: Wednesday, 13 and Thursday, 14 February from 9.30am to 2.30pm at Eastgate, Rochester.

For more details or to register for a place on the next workshop phone Chris Garwood on 01634 338471.
