Two of the biggest names in literature are coming to Medway to speak about their latest novels.

Authors Lisa Jewell and Tamar Cohen will be at Gillingham Library at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 30 July.

Lisa has written 11 books, the latest of which is The House We Grew Up In.

Lisa started her first novel, Ralph’s Party, for a bet in 1996. She finished it in 1997 and it was published by Penguin books in May 1998. It went on to become the best-selling début novel of that year.

She has since written a further nine novels.

Lisa lives in north London with her husband and her daughters and silver tabby cats.

Tamar’s third book, Someone Else’s Wedding is published at the end of June.

Tamar Cohen is a freelance journalist who has written for The Times, The Guardian, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and many other publications. She has written nine non-fiction titles under a different name. The Mistress’s Revenge was her first novel, published in 2012.
