Local people are invited to meet specialist nurses from Medway Community Healthcare to get advice about problem skin conditions.

The team will be at Hempstead Valley on Thursday 18 July 2013 from 9am to 4pm.

skin teamShoppers will be able to ask questions, have accessible areas of skin looked at and get advice. If necessary the team will also refer people, including children, to the community dermatology (skin) clinic for further assessment and to discuss treatment options.

People will also be able to try out different types of moisturising lotions, creams and ointments on the day to see what product is best for their skin type.

Tanya Grant, dermatology nurse at Medway Community Healthcare, said: “Many of us experience common skin conditions such as eczema, dry skin, verrucas and warts but ignore them hoping they will go away.

“But there is no need to suffer; often there are simple actions you can take to heal and protect your skin.

“I would urge anyone with concerns about their skin to come along and get advice.”
