2 bikeLeading charity Action for Children is holding sponsored bicycle rides on Friday 13 September 2013 at two of the world’s most iconic motor racing venues – Snetterton in Norfolk and Brands Hatch in Kent.

The charity is calling on cyclists of all ages and abilities to complete as many laps of the circuits as possible in two hours – giving them the chance to raise much-needed funds for vulnerable children and young people, whilst enjoying exclusive access to the world-famous racetracks.

The events run from 5.15pm onwards and cost £10 per adult. Children under 16 can take part for free but must be with a registered and participating adult. Individuals are encouraged to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship, and families to raise at least £100. All proceeds will go towards supporting Action for Children’s work locally, and to its services across the UK.

Laura Hanratta, Action for Children Partnership Fundraiser for Norfolk, said: “We’re looking for cyclists of all ages and abilities to take part in these exciting events at Snetterton and Brands Hatch. We hope as many people as possible sign up and follow in the tyre tracks of some of the world’s most famous racing car drivers.”

Selena Goldsmith, Action for Children Partnership Fundraiser for Kent, said: “The events will be a great family evening out, and will help make a life-changing difference to disadvantaged and vulnerable children, young people and their families. It will be a fun and healthy way to raise vital funds for a great cause.”
