A number of road closures are scheduled for September to allow for essential repair works to be carried out.

Buttway Lane, Cliffe will be closed to all traffic from 9 September for five days while a new gas main and supply is installed. The road will be closed from the junction with Church Street to a point 100 metres westwards.

Gas installation works are also taking place in May Street, Woodhurst Close, and Wood Street, Cuxton from 23 September for three weeks.

From 9 September, for two months, Witham Way, Strood will be closed from the junction with Witham Way to the junction with Dart Close while a new retaining wall is built.
An alternative route will be available via Woodstock Road, Northcote Road, and Darnley Road.

Seymour Road, Rainham will be closed to all traffic from 14-20 September while checks and repairs are carried out to the railway bridge. The road will be closed overnight (11pm-6am) from the junction with Canterbury Lane to the junction with Moor Street (A2).

Britannia Road, High Halstow will be closed to all traffic from 30 September for two weeks. Medway Council’s Drainage Team will be repairing and replacing manhole frames, excavating ditches and installing kerbs between the junction with Clinch Street to the junction with Valentine Drive.

Diversions will be in place and local access allowed for residents. Pedestrians will not be affected on any of the road closures listed above.
