Residents and businesses are being reminded that they have until September 20th to comment on the plans for the future of Rochester Airport. The draft proposals could create 1,000 new jobs and improve facilities that would increase the airport’s heritage tourism potential.

Medway Council’s cabinet agreed to carry out a formal consultation to decide a final master plan that will set the template for any future development. Cllr Alan Jarrett, Deputy Leader of Medway Council and Portfolio Holder for Finance, said: “We want to put a plan in place for Rochester Airport that ensures its future prosperity.” “The consultation gives residents and businesses the opportunity to have their say before the master plan is agreed.”
