An-evening-Paul-Greengrasss Oscar-nominated and BAFTA Best Director winner Paul Greengrass is coming to Gravesend.

One of Gravesend’s most famous sons returns to the borough in March to The Woodville’s cinema which is named in his honour.

Paul Greengrass was born in Surrey but his family moved to Gravesend where he attended Westcourt school and then Gravesend Grammar School for Boys.

He will be on-stage for a question and answer session about his career as a prelude to a special screening of his latest movie Captain Phillips which is in the running for a string of awards across the globe including six Academy Awards nominations.

Paul, 58, is also known for directing the first two of the Bourne trilogy and United 93.

He will be at the Paul Greengrass Cinema on 25 March at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 for the unique opportunity to see and hear this extraordinary journalist and filmmaker.
