The beautiful and unique setting of the Mezzanine Floor of 3 Slip: The BIG Space is being used for the first time to host Big Screen Movies on the 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th May. The films are presented in partnership with The Luna Cinema.

No. 3 Slip is one of Britain’s architectural gems – built in 1838, this immense covered slip was Europe’s largest wide span timber structure. Film goers will take the lift or stairs to the mezzanine floor and will discover the real grandeur of this incredible building sitting beneath the awe-inspiring timber roof. More

On August 19th, Hollywood director Tony Scott tragically died by jumping off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles. When he died tributes flooded in from across the film world. Tom Cruise (star of ‘Top Gun’ and who had met with Scott two days prior to his death to talk about the upcoming Top Gun 2), said in tribute to his friend “He was a creative visionary whose mark on film is immeasurable.” Denzel Washington who had worked with Scott on five of his films, said “Tony Scott was a great director, a genuine friend and it is unfathomable to think that he is now gone.” More
