booksKeen teen readers will be pleased to know that this year they have their own reading challenge to take part in – with some great prizes up for grabs.

Medway Libraries has developed a reading challenge for 13-16 year olds, after feedback from young people last year showed there was massive interest in a challenge of this kind.
Younger children are already catered for with the national and ever-popular Summer Reading Challenge, but now teenagers have their own scheme.

The Teen Reading Challenge starts on 13 July, with young readers encouraged to read six books of their choice over the summer break – it could be a library book, library audiobook or library e-book. More

If you go down to Higham memorial hall on 29th June between 12 and 4pm you will find a host of beauty treatments and Psychic readings to chose from. The entrance fee is £2 and all proceeds go to the Elenorlions Hospice.
