Gallant knights and fair maidens will roam the castle gardens at Medieval Merriment, a free family event taking place at Rochester Castle Gardens during the weekend of Saturday 1 to Sunday 2 September.

The gardens will be transformed into a medieval encampment with a whole array of themed activities, including re-enactments, cooking demonstrations, have-a-go archery, stalls, traders and living history displays.
New features for this year’s event include a medieval fashion show depicting changes in dress through the years, and there’s even the chance to have a personal meeting with the King himself between 12noon and 3pm each day in the castle keep. More
