The Historic Dockyard Chatham, the world’s most complete dockyard of the Age of Sail and one of Britain’s leading maritime heritage destinations is delighted to offer ‘heritage hunters’ a unique chance to take a ‘behind the scenes’ look at one of the most admired aspects of the dockyard. Visitors who pre-book a Heritage Open Day on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September will be given the opportunity to visit the ‘factory floor’ of Master Ropemakers, located within the Victorian Ropery Building. More
