This private visit was made primarily to meet members of Chatham Historic Dockyard Volunteer Service (CHDVS) of which HRH Prince Michael has been patron for the past 15 years. His last visit to the dockyard was in 2008 when he opened the newly refurbished Victorian Ropery gallery. Read More

Spring into Action! Explosive activities for May weekends, 1-3pm
‘Launching’ on 12 May and running every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm – 3pm until 27 May
will be action packed Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) drop-in sessions giving visitors the chance to mix up their own gunpowder and try their hand at firing a miniature cannon or rocket missile – then see how close they can get to the target! More
