Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust is delighted to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit The Historic Dockyard Chatham on Monday 29th July 2013. This follows the announcement in April that His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales agreed to take on the Patronage of The Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust for a five year term.

Normal admission prices apply to The Historic Dockyard on 29th July and visitors will get the chance to see both HRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall during their visit.
Admiral Sir Ian Garnett, Chairman of Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust said; “His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales honoured the work of Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust over the 29 years of its existence by agreeing to become Patron earlier this year. We are especially pleased that he has now confirmed a visit here on 29th July accompanied by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall to mark his Patronage and see for himself what has been achieved since his last visit 9 years ago.”

Gravesend town centre has once again entered the regional South and South East in Bloom competition which sees town centres and villages battle it out each year.

The competition, sponsored by Southern Water, is part of the largest horticultural campaign in Europe. It encourages communities to create town centre floral features, permanent planting, wildflower meadows, planting for nature, fruit and vegetable, gardening and much more. More
