Firemen, footballers and Facebook – academy builders recognised for work with the Strood community

Strood Academy builder BAM Construction has been recognised for its “exceptional and unique” relationship with the local community.

Since starting on the school project last spring, BAM has taken pupils to an adventure park, allowed firemen to practice emergency rescues on site, paved a football club’s entrance road and much more.

Big community clean up in Chatham

Residents in Chatham are being asked to pull on their gloves and wellies and get involved in a neighbourhood tidy-up being held next week.

The big community clean-up is taking place in the Luton and All Saints areas of Chatham from Tuesday, 24 to Friday, 27 January and Medway Council is calling for residents to get involved and help spruce up their neighbourhood.
